Our commitment to Green Bookselling

1. We conduct an annual Green Audit of our business and implement changes in a timely manner.

2. We avoid all plastic wrapping and bags and wrap our books in recycled paper.

3. We use a green energy supplier and low-energy lighting. This has reduced lighting power consumption by 85% - giving a two year pay back on new LEDs, which will then last for 5 or more years compared with halogen bulbs.

4. We are working to eliminate single-use plastic in our housekeeping and hospitality.

5. Our business uses local suppliers wherever appropriate.

6. We ensures stationery and other goods are from renewable sources wherever possible.

7. We only stock greetings card ranges with compostable wrapping.

8. We re-use or recycles packaging material wherever possible.

9. We use eco-friendly cleaning and other products wherever possible.

10. We conduct an audit of each event to to ensure the environmental sustainability of our bookshop events.
