Gallovidia Books is an independent bookshop in the colourful harbour town of Kirkcudbright -. Scotland's Artist Town. We're a friendly, bustling community in the heart of rural Dumfries and Galloway, nestling between the rugged Solway Coastline, and the gentle rolling hills of the Galloway countryside.
Our shelves are selectively curated with brand new quality books on everything from ancient Scottish history to much loved page-turners and the very latest releases. Our booksellers are always ready for a 'booky blether', and to act as a friendly matchmaker for you and your next favourite author.
We're proud to be situated in the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, and to be working to collaboratively to develop a truly sustainable business. You won't find any plastic bags at Gallovidia. Just our beautifully wrapped parcels or brown paper and string.
